Are you unable to lose weight and are tired of the various diet plans? Well here’s something new that you can try- The blood group diet! According to this diet plan, a person should eat according to his or her blood group.

The diet plan is based on the theory that different blood groups evolved at different time periods. Therefore our diet today should match that of our ancestors for every blood group type. The type of blood group you have also determines body’s internal system. It affects the way food is absorbed in the body.

The best part about this diet plan is that you don’t need to keep a check on your calories. You just need to know the “kind of food” you should be eating for your group type. Here’s what the different blood group people should eat and what they must avoid:

People with blood group O : Go for a diet rich in protein and low in carbohydrates.
Must have: Lots of fruits and vegetables, Meat
Avoid: Nuts, Grain and dairy products
Exercise: Intensive physical exercise required

People with blood group A: Diet rich in carbohydrates and low in fats. Mostly vegetarian diet.
Must have: Lots of fruits and vegetables
Avoid: Meat and dairy products
Exercise: Mild exercises like yoga and meditation sufficient

People with blood group B: Eat a mixed diet.
Must have: Fruits, vegetables, fish, grains, dairy products
Avoid: Chicken
Exercise: Moderate form of exercises sufficient like walking, cycling, swimming

People with blood group AB: All benefits and restrictions of group A and group B diet.
Must have: Mostly vegetarian diet
Meat, fish and dairy products should be rarely consumed
